Femtoshape concept at Photonics West 2026

The Femtoshape project gained significant international exposure during the SPIE Photonics West 2026 conference in San Francisco. Dr. Rainer Kling from the Bern University of Applied Sciences presented the concept of temporal pulse shaping as a breakthrough approach in the processing of transparent materials.

During the presentation, Fluence Technology was officially introduced as the key business partner responsible for the engineering implementation of the system. The presentation attracted significant interest from the industrial sector, particularly in the context of implementing a hybrid pulse source (fs + ps) in a single laser head. Participation in such a significant event confirms that the solutions developed within the project meet the real needs of the modern photonics market.
