R&D Laser Engineer
As a Laser Engineer, you will join the R&D team (Fluence’s product research and development team), where you will take an active role in the development of current and creation of new Fluence laser products. Creating new innovative solutions, as well as supporting the product implementation department to implement them, are among the key tasks of this position. During the implementation period, you will gain the necessary qualifications to work with Fluence laser systems, as well as knowledge in the areas of specialized fiber optic welding, laser beam guidance in optics, mechanical design, cooling systems, and electronics and control software.
Responsibilities:
- Development of techniques for generating wavelengths from UV to infrared by nonlinear methods,
- Development of current laser designs for optimization,
- Development of new designs of low- and high-power femtosecond lasers,
- Creation and testing of prototype laser systems.
Requirements:
- University degree in physics, optics, photonics, mechatronics or related field,
- Working experience in an optical laboratory, experience with laser radiation is a benefit,
- Understanding of issues in laser physics and optics,
- Basic knowledge of electronics,
- Fluent Polish.
Nice to have:
- Min. 2 years of professional work experience in an optical laboratory,
- Experience in nonlinear radiation processing and/or generation,
- Completed own optical, optoelectronic or optomechanical projects,
- Practical familiarity with fiber optics, optical fiber bonding and welding technologies.
